Tbo Cabinet approved of the grant being made on a pound for pound basis, tbo sum to be repaid before any profits were allotted. Tile company's machinery was estimated to be worth i>4500 and the miuo would employ 200 men. The grant was ob tained through the instrumentality of the Hon A. A. BillsoD.
