Ihunredsa ,f touristys ael excurutitists availed them selves of the sopportunity, and although the weather was extremely warm, all en joyed themselves, and spoke highly of the resources of the district from a sporting standpoint. On Christmas Day the train was loaded, over 130 persons being brought direct to the terminus-a record. Conveyances were oon hbusy distrihbuting the pieople, Thorntom being the oner important spot owing to the splendid fishing and shooting that is to lbe obtained there. The Snobs, ?ubicon anti Findlay Falls, too, found many admirers. The town presented a lively appearance on Xmas Eve, the principal busineass places being gaily decorated inside, while the gum saplings which adorned the outside lent a cool appearance to the -surroundings.
