GEELONG The following is from the Geelong Ad- vertiser :-- GAELIC SCHOOL.--The foundation stone of the Gaelic School, which is to be used for Divine worship until a Church be built on the adjoi ing allotment granted by the Government for a Gaelic Church site, was laid by Captain MacLean, on the 11th &nbsp; &nbsp; inst, in the presence of a highly respecta- ble meeting. The service commenced by singing in gaelic the 127th psalm, then fol- lowed a fervent prayer, by their pastor the Rev Mr MacVean. The Rev Dr Maccay eloquently addressed the meeting in Gae- lic, exhorting them to lead holy lives, and afterwards the Rev Mr Tait in English. Under the stone was deposited in a sealed bottle gold and silver coins and some cop- per, and now, together with writings in the Gaelic language descrptive of the building the year of the Queens reign, the names of the rev. pastor, architect, builders and building committee.
