Funeral of Mr. Leo A. Robb -The funeral of the late Mr. Leopold A. Robb took place at the Alexandra cemetery on Tuesday last. The cortege (76 cars) leav ing from the Church of England. It is reported that about 240 per 5ois assembled at the graveside. The floral tributes were numer ous and beautiful: The late Mr. Robb was held in high esteem by all who knew him. He possessed (sterling principles - straightforwardness and' !unselfishness during his life. He would do a kind act for anyone in distress. c es, that was his mnke-up - a real friend. Rev. S. Taylor conducted the service at the Church and at the graveside. Mitchell's Funeral Direct6rs had charge of the fune ral arrangements. The coffin bearers were - Mes srs. A., R., and C. Robb, M. Presentation On Thursday, 22nd Feb, a func ion was held at the Yarck Hote to give Yarck Rural Fire Brigade members an opportunity to say farewell to its President, Mr. G. Raws. Mr. Raws has disposed of is property at Cathkin, and will ake up residence on the Penin-. ula early in March. There was an excellent muste of members to wish the gues God speed. Cr. Jones was in the chair, and Shire President Dav proposed the toast of the guest, and was supported by the fort members present. All speakers expressed regret at the loss of such a person as Mr. Raws, t the district. Mr. Arnold Blaken ey, Captain of the Brigade, made a small presentation on behalf of the brigade. Mr Raws, in re sponding, thanked the brigade and all for sentiments expressed, and asked all to "drop in" if dow his way.
