HOCKEY ,The re-played semi-final, between Gcrringong and Nowra took place at Berry on Saturday. last. Mrs. Johnson and her daughter travelled from Wollongong to act as umpires. The game did not prove as spectac dular as the previous one. During the first half Nam:a were much below their usual form and the Gerringong goalie 'was not called upon to save a shot up till half-time. The Gong forwards at the other end were do ing everything but score. The Nowra goalkeeper and backs defended very stubbornly and were able to keep their goal intact. After 'the interval Nowra played an improved game but the Gongs were still having the best of the play. The unexpected happen ed ten minutes, before full time when the Nowra right wing bl'oke away and a shot which hit the post was turned in. by Ann Ratcliffe to score what :proved to be the only goal of the' match.
