Cricket Season Opens Weather conditions were not altogether suited for the opening day of a cricket season, for there was.a cold wind blowing, and :players' found difficulty in loosening up properly. Fourteen clubs again comprise the Association, end the first round of matches of one day's duration was commenced, the eight teame at the end of which will thern be assembled in Group "A" whilst the lower six will form Group"B," and matches will then be of two days each until the end of the" season. There was very little new blood in the ranks of the various teams, per haps the 'most noticeable being the Rev. W. Chllds, who played a suc-': cessful innings of 46 for Goorambat. The highest score was made by Des.
