CORONERS' INQUEST. [Newspaper Article] — South Bourke Standard — 21 November 1862

CORONERS' INQUEST.                 The district coroner held an inquest on Monday, at Oakleigh, on the body of' John Cromie, a labouring man, aged thirty-five, who was found drowned in a water-hole at Mulgrave, on Friday last. Mr. Manley, a farmer living at Mulgrave, knew the deceased, and identified the body as that of John Cromie. Last saw him alive       on Friday morning, the 14th inst., about a     quarter of a mile from where he was found drowned. He was driving his horses along the road. Witness wished him good morning.     Deceased was quite sober, and was driving   quietly along, sitting in his cart. Deceased went his way, witness went his, and saw on more of the deceased.
