His Excellency the Governor, his Private Secretary, the Premier, the Miuistcr for Works, the Colonial Treasurer, Mr. H. C. Ktanley, and Captain Heath are passengers ta Maryborough. It has transpired th t the Govermnout re- ceived an application a December from the Eastern and Australi u Steam Navigation Company, for reconsidi ation of thc mail con- tract. Thc Executive ¡ousidered the applica- tion, and were willing o increase the subsidy in return for increased peed.
