GLASGOW WEERL Y v T Ot E S . L.J. LJLLL.'! Editor's Correspondtnoe. JtrrtmoM Citt, January 12, 1857. A part of the agony ol electing Senators in Congress is over, and James S. The lection was consummated without much debate, the friends of Mr. Green being content ta vole for him, with out going into a defence of his political course refraining, at the same time, from any attack upon the candidates in opposi tion. In explanation of his vole, Mr. Rogers, of St. Louis, did declare his want of confi dence in Mr. Benton as a Democrat, and cited instances to justify him in, the ex pression of his doubts. Who will be elected to succeed Mr. G oy er, is a matter of much uncertainty.
