LOCAL MATTERS. Alcalde' $ Cowl -He fore Judge Ucnry.— Edward Buckbee, an old offender, was brought up for trial Wednesday for selling two pair of pistols, two black cofttl and a number of flannel »hirt«, th« properly of Franol* Hall and lumen Harper, knowing them to be stolon. It appeared from the evidence given to th.i court and jury that the trunks of Ball and lUr|" were broken open In their tent In Happy Valley on tho 2nd inst., whilo they were at their business, and tho aboro named articles abstraoted therefrom, and placed in tin- prisoner's possession to dispose of. They were afterwards found In the "torn of Mr Wolfe In Montgomery street, who describod the person who sold him the goods n, minutely that officer Edgnrton shortly after arrested the prisoner in the circus. He finally confessed to the officer that ho sold tho articles, knowing them to bo stolen. The jury found a verdict of Guilty.
