I W.P.O. The Morkon W.P.O held their usual bi-weekly meeting in the Woombye School of Arts on Saturday, February 2 7, there being a fair attend ance pf members. Mr. G. Reynolds occupied *the chair. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and con firmed. Cprrespondence^ was read from Mr. P. I^eo, of Hope toun, expressing his willing ness tp act las agent for the organisation! at that place. Two new membeirs were proposed and admitte|l. It was decided that the secretary of the organ isation write to the secretary of the Pomoiia organisation for further information concerning thepresent trouble over cutting the sleepers ifor South Africa, and it was further decided that a meeting of sleeper choppers be held on the 5th instant, and that an advertisement to that effect be ; inserted in the ' Chronicle.'*' The business of the evening being concluded, a vote of thanks was accorded to the chajirman, and the meeting terminated.

Kglinton, ; P.M., Christian Walters was charged, at the instance of August William Bowder, with having.' on the *5th of Deceniber ias-t, used Dbscene language in a public place — to wit, on the Gympie road at Yandina- Acting-Sergeant M'Xeill prosecuted, and Mr. Cahill (Bergin August William Bowder, the complainant, deposed that he was a fanner, and resided at Yandina : between 3 and 4 p.m. on the date mentioned he saw the defendant opposite Glover's farm, on the Gym pie road at Yaudina, his two sons (Thomas and Cecil Bowder).
