MECHANICS' BILLIARD ROOM. [Newspaper Article] — Penshurst Free Press — 6 November 1915

MECHANICS' BILLIARD ROOM. There was a full attendadce of the committee of the Mechanics' Institute at the meeting on Tuesday night, when Mr Madigan brought up the matter of enlarging the billiard room to accomodate the recently purchased table. Ways and means of meeting the proposed additional outlay came in for consideration, and envious eyes ?were cast upon the figures represent ing the money set aside for the en largement of the hall. However, on the suggestion of the president it was decided to see what a strong united effort could do before any step was taken in this direction. It was even tually decided that tenders be called for the contract of enlarging the room, Mr Schooling being asked to draw up specifications, and an advert isement according to the resolution, appears in this issue.
