In a handy, and telling form It teaches some hundredsoflittle points of otiqaetteond 6ocial conduct, which inust be of great value 'to anyone, especially to the voting Australian who, in many cases, reqnires a friendly monitor to direct him or her in. their intercourse with each other or t lip ?world at large. We observe that the book lias had a sale of one million copies in England and America ; and that Mr. Oolo's Edition contains an additional sixteen, pages of mature wisdom picked from Hie tree of knowledge, thus rendering the Australian reprint much more valuable than its old coun try predecessors. Sixpence is the price of ' Don't,' and sixpence will be well spent in purchasing such a collection of advice upon manners and morals hb are found within its pages. ?

Danger in the Bath. [Newspaper Article] — The Campbelltown Herald — 10 August 1898

Danger in the Bath, There is absolutely no danger to be appre hended, in the bath from getting wet, or from opening the pores of the skin, or from getting rid of the superfluous foreign matter, vsbieli may attach thereto, as so many people sei-m to think, judging from the excuses they make for not patronising the establishment, as well as. from the perfume which sometimes clings to their presence. The danger alluded to is thus explained in the words of a victim : *? I bad been under the shower and soaped myself into a similarity to a msrble statne; when suddenly the water was turned off. What was I to do ? The only son! on the .premises was my housekeeper, an irreproach able female of, an uncertin nmnber of summers, whom I dare not summon, for assistance. I waited so patiently for the water to be turned on again, but it came not and my torture was extreme. What fiend supplied the soap I bad been using, I know not, but it burnt ; oh, how it burnt as it dried upon the tender skin whic...
