LATEST FROM SYDNEY. ON Tuesday the accouchement of Lady Belmore took place at Throsby Hall, the country residence of his Excellency. Her Ladyship was delivered of a still born child. From Melbourne we learn that Mr. Jones has resigned his seat in the Victorian Cabinet Prince Alfred lost a valuable diamond ring   at the Geelong races, which was afterwards found and restored by a Mr. Vial--a cousin of the Mr. Vial who saved the Prince's life. Mrs. Dalley, mother of Mr. Dalley the barrister, died suddenly on Tuesday. A telegram from Adelaide states that Sir James Fergusson has taken Woodville, the residence of Chief Justice Hanson, as a country seat. A porter on the Gawler railway was run over by a traiu on Monday, and so terribly injured that he died soon after the accident. Before leaving Melbourne, on Monday, Prince Alfred gave £50 each to the Sailors' Home, the Alfred Hospital, and the Society for the Relief of Educated Persons.

On the 11th inst. the Governor ontertained Prince Alfred at dinner. Among the guests present were his' Grace Archbishop' 'Folding' the Premier, and other members of the Ministry, General Waddy, &c.
