NATHALIA SHOW. V . _ The 27th Annual- Spring Show oE the Nathalia - Agricultural Society was held in the local grounds on Thursday, the 8th October. ' The weather was not all that could be desired. The morning broke show ing that the day would be a hot one, which was. fully realised when one got to the grounds, and I he quantity of dust that occasionally blew across the trade made things rather ijn plOasant for the onlookers. Although! a,water cart was kept going through out the day the sun and wind soon dried the water up and left things just as bad.' To any ordinary lay man's point of view it seemed that the wilderness had suddenly broken into a panorama. The publican's booth, which was in charge of Messrs Hogan and Kelly, ol Ballarat, did good business, as did Mr Parry in the temperance 1-ooth, and Mr Lucas ctlered well for the public in the fruit booth. Orange Blossoms. Carland—Limbrick, At the Presbyterian Church, Na thalia, on September 16th, Mr John Carland was married to Miss Sarah Evelyn Limbrick. The duties of bridesmaid and best man were ably carried out by Miss Emily Limbrick and Mr Thomas Carland respec tively. The ceremony was performed by the Rev I. Glyn Jones The wedding, which was a most interesting one, was witnessed by a number of spectators. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a handsome trained gown of ivory china silk, having a draped tunic caught up at the left side with ribbon true lovers knots, over a skirt of pleated lace. Ribbon knots appearing also on the train, together with a handsome silk ruch ing. The bodice was draped with very line lace and satin ribbon. A long embroidered veil fell from the coronet of orange blossom and a bouquent of roses, snowdrops and fern was carried. The bridesmaid, Miss E. Limbrick, sister of the bride, wore a dress of cream raidunta, the bodice being trimmed with ...
