By request I bog to submit the following supplement to my recent letter on certain min ing properties in Big Bug district: While I was yot the guest of Mr. Shirley, Supt. of the Henriotta Min ing do., I visited the Belcher, Red Hook, JJew Era, Postmaster, Vigi lante and "79" mines, that lie about 2$ milos futher up the gulch on both sides of the creek. All of thorn arc good properties, showing considerable development work and largo reserves of high grade oro insight. Tho Belcher mine is a patented property and has a good record, it having produced informer years ovor $70,000 in gold. Its surface ores have been extracted nearly all along tho entire length of tho claim, as far as tho oxidized freo" milling oro went, and work ceased when tho sulphurets were reached, which "was nearly always about 50 feet from tho surface.
