A correspondent of the Colfax Chronicle enters a protest against the quiet and peaceable still-hunot of the Mormon elders, which has been going on for some time in Louisiana. Among other things he says: "They are the sworn and secret teachers of plurality of wives. They deny this because the gov ernment has outlawed them on this, but every Mormon ejder is a secret agent for the "many wives" doctrines. Then, too, these walk ing delegates from Utah are very fond of proselyting the women. Somehow these walking delegates have a peculiar leani.g to the women.
