The following description of the lairy rssel represented on this page is from the Cincinnati Commercial : The hull is of the finest selected -white oak, braced, bolted and riveted in the most skillful and work manlike manner, and is 64 feet in length, 1 1 feet breadth of beam, 2J tect depth of hold, and draws twenty inches of water. 8 he carries a tubular boiler, and two beauti ful little engines, made expressly for her, by the Ohio Machine Co., Middleport, O. The dining-room is situated between the boiler and engine rooms, and is artistically grained, with frescoed ceiling. It is fur nished in the Queen Anne style, and the silver, china and table linen are of the finest character. The pilot-house, cabin, main talon and Captain's office are on the saloon deck and are luxurious in their furnishing -s'r- aud decorations. J - v r THE FARM. The Cellar for Toasts. Many who have no greenhouse, and cannot afford the room in the dwelling for them, would gladly keep certain tender or half hardy plant through the winter. For each purpose a cellar answers admirably. Indeed, we know of florists who hare constructed cellars exprebly for keeping plants through the winter. It is not expected, nor is it desirable, that plants in the cellar should grow. They are merely to le kept put to sleep, as it were, until the return of spring makes it safe to place them out again. Tlants in the cellar, while they should never be wet, ought not to gel dust-dry, hence they must be looked to occasionally dur ing the winter months.
