The News of tho 23d stys " The epidemic commenced in this city the last week of August on- ly some few sporadic cases of yellow fever having occurred previous to that time being mostly the passengers of the steam- er Mexico. The whole number of deaths since that time both in the city and hospital as nearly as wo can estimate is about 235 or 210 of which number three-fourths wore- probably oft yellow fever.
