Tho/weather since our last report continued dry up to this evening, when a change set in, villi a heavy rainfall, which continues while wo write, with the most terrific thunder and .vivid flashes of lightning we have seen for some time. Tho ruin was most welcome, and is hailed as bringing good prospects of summer feed. The want of rain has been generally roported, and in some localities the country was beginning to wear somewhat of a parched look. About 3)ubbo, apprehensions of u drought were found to occupy a place in the minds of a good many up to' last week when rain Bet in which appears to have extended in a great many directions in that district. Tho attend ance of buyors in each instance was very large, and a keen competition existed for overy lot offored up to full value, add the price3 realised were most satisfactory, con* eidcring the state of the home market. Greasy sold up to 13d., and washed flecce to 2s 4d per lb. Our opening sale will be hold , on Monday, the 8th instant. ADDRESS AND PRESENTATION TO KEY. DR. ]5ERMINGUAM. On Thursday evening a number of the members of the congregation of St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church assembled at the Presbytery, Newtown, for the purpose of presenting tho Rev. Dr. Bcrmingham with an address and purse of sovereigns. The members of the congregation, at the conclu sion of the recent Jubilee devotions, desired to mark their sense of the arduous labours of their pastor, and in a few dnys tho splendid gift of 300 sovereigns was readily subscribed. About sixty persons having assembled, it was found lieccssary to adjourn to the largo room of Mr. Hopkins's ltoyal Hotel.
