THE COURTS Appearing before Mr. W. Frazer J.P. at Liverpool Police Court on Tuesday, Geoffrey Thomscn pleaded guilty to a charge of behaving in an offensive man- ner in The Crescent, Fairfield on Mon- day night. Constable Sheppard told the Bench that at about 7 o'clock on the night of 18th August, defendant had come to the Police Call-Box and said: "Pinch nie, I'm drunk." He said he would do more damage if he was not put in. When told he was not drunk, and to go home, de- fendant left and returned again in a few minutes and interfered with the tiifäphone. He ëxcjiimed: '.Pinch me, you mug-go cn mug, pinch me." He was pinched. In extenuation, Thompson told thc Eench that he had found out a man who had told tales about, he and "his girl," and wanted to te arrested for fear he might injure the man. The Scoutmaster made a brief and encouraging report cn the work of the Group hi the past six months, which revealed that the movement is forging ahead and interest kept alive by outdoor activities, such as the recent outings.
