DO YOU SUFFER from LIVER COMPLAINT, INDIGESTION, CONSTIPATION, HEARTBURN, FLATULENCE, Or any symptoms of a disordered digestive apparatus I If so, there is no remedy in the world 'so safe and sure to give relief as Fletcher's Pills and Clements Tonic. Don't be misled into wasting time and money on any of the " All-failing" nostrums so speciously advertised by designing quacks and dishonest rogues. Remember, these two remedies haye stood the test of time, that their merits are proved, and that a few shillings invested on them may save you weeks and months of suf fering, and, perhaps, pounds of expense, for they have done so in hundreds of cases, and we will send you evidence to prove our assertions on receipt of your name and address. Remember, delay is dangerous, and that every hour you neglect your case the complication in creases and a cure becomes more difficult. Shun the cheap quack doctors and designing nostrum com pounders; stick to the remedies Cle ments Tonic.. and . Fletche...

THE TURNER BUDGET PROPOSALS. [Newspaper Article] — Healesville Guardian — 9 November 1894

THE TURNER BUDGET PROPOSALS. A record of two Budget statements within four months is a rarity. Mr. G. D. Carter delivered the first-his famous budget-in July last: Ilia successor, Mr. G, Turner, presented the second to the Legislative Assembly an Wednesday. Though new to the position, the Treasurer spoke with re markable fluency and confidence, and secured the closest attention of members, notwithstanding the great length at which he spoke-two hours and a half. Practically Mr. Turner's budget was a speech in two chapters; the first deal.t exclusively and legitimately with the finances, and the second was, an. elaborate explanation and defence of the proposed tax on unimproved land values. Of the publio finances there was nothing new to be toad, and the. Treasurer might almost have saved; himself the labor of tracing tbe rise and fall of the "-boorm'~ surpbsses and deficits. Su1 cienb to say.. that for the. current afnancial year the. deficit is, se. down at £52,;073.. The aailways a...
