NORTR OVENS SHIRE COUNCIL. A special meeting of the above Council was held on Tuesday afternoon last for the pur pose of receiving plans for:the storm-water channel at Tariawingee and tenders for vari onus works. There were preeent-The Presi dent, and Ors Spink, Ward, Pratt, Everitt, Ladson, and O'Neill. A. communication was received from' M 0, Langtree, submitting a plan for a storm water channel to cost £7,500; but AMr Lang. tree stated that if that portion of it which would be in the Beechworth shire wore left out; which could be done without damaging the channel, the cost would be about £5,500.
