The Citizen. SATURDAY. NOVEMBERS, 1873. Fraud at the Late Election, &c. Four candidates for Delegate to Con gress were before the people nt the late election. The report of Fraud comes from all quarters, but in every instauce the frauds are credited to the friends and supporters of Campbell. From what We can learn, Messrs. Stevens, Davis and WooUcy and their lriends, conducted the canvas- with c-rodit to themselves and to the Territory. They Were content to abide a just expression of the people uninfluenced by a cor rupt Use of money or fraud in returns. Not so the Campbell party. With them, it was win at all hazards, with out regard to the means used before or after election day. Letters from Phenix and Prescott and also the numerous telegrams, and all from re putable sources, agree in reciting frauds committed in behalf of Campbell. The Oitizek. SATURDAY, - DEC EMBER 7. 1S7S. Paramount duty of the Coming Leglstature. Tbis is to locate the capital at Flie. nir or Florence. We name Phenix first simply because, if once there, it could hardly be removed again. Even another huge fraud as that committed by Yavapai in 176, could not take the capital trom Phenix. As population is now tending, Pima, Pinal and Yuma could in a few years, locate it at any point they would agree upon; but these counties engaged in no fraud to get or retain the capital, and have no desire to keep it on wheels by the just power they will soon possess, nor even by the honest means they would now possess but for the Yavapai frauds These counties want laws honestly and fairly enacted and likewise enforced Thus far every bill of much importance before the several legislatures, has been eubject to the baleful influence of the capital question, and, as the cap ital is now located, the same evil in- fluence will continue. We did not in tend to agita...

3 i n The Citizen. Some Suggestions. The election law of this Territoiy SATURDAY. DECEMBER 14. 187S. Mining Notes. The Tombstone miuing district con tinues to attract a large t-hare of the attention of the mining community. New mines arc constantly being found and the first locations are more than realizing the s-anguine expectations of the discoverer. It is said by ex perienced miners that enough ore is in sight on a ponion of the Toughnut lode keep the mill soon to be erected running for many years. Capitalists are daily bondiug and buying mines in that district at fair rates. The popu lation is rapidly increasing and every tiling seems to indicate that it will aoou become one of the most thriving and i.oi.ulous settlements in Pima f county. The Patagonia mines are looking re markably well. Considerable work is being done in the way of developing them. The.-e mines carry immense ore bodies, and with the large amount of wood anil limber at hand they can be worked very cheap. The or...

The Citizen. SATU11DA T. - DEVEMBEll -1. 1S7S. FLORENCE LETTER, improvements -Hopeful view of its Fu ture Commissioner William son's Visit Flohence. December 13. This town is growing gradually and on good basis. Any town surrounded by productive land, need not fear for its future. Such an one will not spring u like n mushroom nor will it decline in wcallh, even though it experiences an occasional season of depression Several new houses are now being built, aside from the spacious county building intended for District Court room and the several county offices The walls are now completed and scaffolding going up to enable the car penters to put on the plates, rafters and shin tries.
