The sixth National Convention of the Ro jiubllpan party met in the Exposition build In); In Cincinnati at noon on the 14th, and was railed lo Order by ex-Go. K. D. Morgan, of New York, Chairman of the Republican National Coromltta. Tho attendance waa greater than that at any previous similar gathering of tbe party. After prayer by tho Rev. Dr. Mlllor, of Covington, Ky., ex.Gov. Morgan made a speech, and nominated the Hon. Theodore M. l'omeroy, of New York, as tempo rary Chairman, which nomination was coneuired In, and Mr. Tomcioy was escorted to the chair, and returned thank to the Convention for tho honor con ferred upon him.
