THE HEREFORD BRAND Birthday Party. Last Saturday being the eighteenth birthday of Miss Nannie Davidson some of her nearest friends and rela- tives decidid to give her a surprise party and supper. To this end prep- arations were made for the supper by her friends, tho she was kept in perfect ignorance of the plans, and on returning late Saturday evening frpm the Central Telephone office where she had been busy during the day, she wa3 very much surprised to find preparation compfeted for a lumptious feast. The table was literally loaded wiih good things and her friends, both young and old, were coming in to partake of the en- joyment of the evening. Among those present were Mr. and Mrs. W. M. The Hereford Brand, Friday, February 21, 1908 FULL RENDITION LAW. Tax Payer Makes Inquires—Asks Who Should Fix the Value of Property. The Brand is in receipt of a note from "A Tax Payer" who asks some pertinent questions about the full rendition tax law, enacted by the last legislature. In order to answer his question, a resolution passed at the Tax Assessor's Association, the tax assessor's oath and the commis- sioner's oath, are all published, be- lieving this to be the quickest route to an intelligent answer.
