Sib, — Seeing in your issue- of tho 8th, a para graph concerning tho above mine, I have thought it might bo interesting to givo a short skotch of its histoiy. It iB somo years now since Messrs. Sivowright, Carter, & Co. , first discovered this mine, and for somo timo such was its richness, that thoy suc ceeded in mnkintr verv fair wacos bv hand crushing. Evontually a compuny was formed, consisting of the absurd number of 24,000 shares, 12,000 of which wero to bo given to tho promoters or original discoverers, the othor 12,000 to bo placed in the markot at £l por sharo, forthopurposoof raising capital to placo sufficient machinery on the ground to dovelop tho mino. This wus supposed to bo the equivalent for tho moiety thus transferred. [By Mr. Surveyor Taylor.] In answer to a request that I would givo some information in connection with, tho subject of rust in wheat, and as to whothor I could soil or recommend Adelaide grown grain for sowing in Shoalhavon, I would bog to stato that I am iu tho habit of gotting my wheat from Boilby and Scott, of Pitt-stroet, who aro tho agents for Adolaido wheat'; and woll indeed may tho pooplo ask why wo should havo to go to Adolaido for. it. Tho harvest before last tho yiold at that placo was at tho rato of only eight bushols to tho acre. This reduction was caused by rust, ovory grain that I purchased being pinchod by it.
