Mittagong Cottage Monies. The Mayor of Mittagong (Mr. Richards) with several fellow aldermen, accompanied by Mr. Kidd, M.L.A., waited as a deputation upon the Premier with a request that steps would be taken to remove from the oentre of the town of Mittagong a couple of cottage liomes used by tne State Children u Relief Department. The deputation pointed out that the cottage homes were used for the accommodation of children suffering from ? physical infirmities, such as diseases of the eye, and that in tho opinion of the people of^ Mittagong such homes should be established on the outskirts of the town rather than in ' the centre. The deputation was the outoome of a public meeting of residents at Mitta gong. Mr. Trickott said he had received a petition signed by 90 residents of Mittagong, asking that tho cottage homes be allowed to remain in tho district.
