RIVAL AUCTIONERS To the Editor of the Ovens and Murray Advertiser. [Newspaper Article] — Ovens and Murray Advertiser — 23 March 1857

RIVAL AULTIONKHHS tho Kditor of tho Ovens and Mnrvay Advertiser. Sin,-Oa .Saturday I was a witness ? ) a disgracoful scene enacted at the new sale yard adjoining Fishery Com mercial hotel, where I saw the first established auctioneer of Lieechwortli riding roughshod over the last. It is selil in that we find men hold ing a respectable position in society leaving their own places of business to go into a rival's establishment for the purpose of traducing hiin. When we see such conduct, let us brand it as unjust, ungenerous, and unfair. SPECTATOR. Miechwortli, March Hist, 1857' .

When tli2 last general election iook place the minds of the people were de voted almost exclusively to the consi deration of a few questions.
