The _^apple crop ibis fall will be rather, a failure. Some trees have no ' ., fruit on them, while the fruit on others which are full, is of a very inferior quality—knotty and wormy. Many farmers attribute this, and probably correctly, to the fact that the insectivorous birds have been destroyed to a great extent, thus allowing insects to run riot on this delicious fruit. _fcSrThe Lebanon Valley R. R. has reduced its rates of fare for the day of the Odd Fellows' Celebration at Myerstown, to 35 cents going and coming for those who leave by the 7 o'clock train, and 40 cents by the 10 o'clock train.
