The top basket sold for $1.24 and the bottom basket $1. The crop was owned by Webb Offutt and O. D. Diddle, of Scott county. Miany local tobacco men believe that this price will be beaten when the famous crop of tobacco grown by Tom Baldwin, Jr., on his farm at Silver Creek goes over the breaks here in Richmond next week.
