The residents of Missouri are to bo protected in the future in the matter of purchasing eggs. Missouri stands second, Iowa being first, as an ess producing state. The state dairy and pure food commis sioner, nr. William P. Cutler jfi send ing out notices to J1 egg dealers in the state warning them against plac ing had eggs upon the market. Ho euys the pure food laws are ample to protect the pnhllc. The clause which prvldes penalties against impure foods of all kinds Is, in the opinion of Dr. CuMer, sullicient to reach anyone, com mission merchant, retailer or the pro ducer who undertakes to sell bad eggs. Voting has recently com pleted a fine wood home with con crete floor, determined that the rats and mice shan't carry off any more of his wood. Klliott McVey was over to the Leavenworth Soldiers home last Sun day, and got caught in an electrical storm on return to Kansas City, which put the electric lino out of business for four hours, and Mac says they were good long ones, bin he finally pulled through. Last Thursday night during the big electrical display lightning struck the residence of Dr. Bowline, knock ing a hole in the roof, but nobody hurt.
