A lady acquaintance ot ours, who lives the other side of Main street, 111 a nice little cottage, in the vicinity of what was once most irreverently denominated "Heritic Hill," called into our office for a little chat, as usual. The conversation soon turned upon the subject of Spiritualism. "Oh I" said she, "your stories are ahvays about good spirits; now I could relate a good story about Evil Spirits, if 1 thought you would not be telling it." We assured her we would not; and, as we are going to write it and print it, there will be no need for our telling it. When he came back, I noticed quite a change in him; he would stay out late at nights, and began at times to be very cross when at home. While I was wondering what had come over my husband, one day 1 discovered on a shelf, behind the pantry door, a very suspi...
