Yellow Jackets Capture Fourth Consecutive Conference Title 85 1-3 Points Are Massed By HPC Track Squad Freshman Stokes Wins Weights- Tops Scoring The Howard Payne clndormen hung up their fourth consecutive Texas Conference scalp In the trophy case last Thursday and Friday when they outpointed the Abilene Christian Wildcats by a lead of almost thirty- one points. The Jackets won nine out of a possible fifteen first places and placed second In four of the remaining events holding a monopoly in the field events and showing power In the flat running division. The Jacket total was 85 1 3 points and A. C. C the nearest compe- tition scored 54 12 points. Other teams and their totals were South- western 10 12; Austin College 8 13; Texas Wesleyan 4; St. Ed- wards 2; and McMurry 13.
