THE BORGER DAILY HERALD ANY GUSHERS MSCOVEREI IN NOVEMBER I -f"J " __ AUSTIN, Texas.—The stimula- tion of activity in the petroleum in- dustry in Texas during November was due to the discovery of a num- ber of large gushers in the Crane and Upton fields, according to Ber- v^rd Nichols, editor of the monthly Texas Business Review, published by the Bureau of Business Research of the University of Texas. "The increased flow from these fields. to- gether with the larger output from the. Gulf coast wells, offset most of tho curtailment in other fields," Mr. Nichols writes, "the trend of production in the United States has been slightly downward for the past six weeks, but the in- creased flow in Texas has almost checked the decline. Heretofore, it was the Seminole field of Ok- lahoma that was responsible for most of the overproduction: now flow from that field is pretty well regulated and the Texas output is holding up the daily recovery.
