One mother-daughter pair at the town hall meeting had concluded beforehand that social networking sites made personal information too accessible. The Rev. Randy Rather officiat- ed. Mrs. Peddicord died May IS in Wylie. She was bom Nov. 2, 1924, in Des Moines, Iowa, to the late Thomas Howard and Louise (Owens) Beeson. She married the late Barton Ray Peddicord. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Thomas B. and Dorothy A. Peddicord of Lavon; sister. Donna Green of Des Moines, Iowa; grandsons. Price Peddicord of Lavon and Greg Phariss of Wylie; and five nieces and nephews. Interment followed at the Wylie Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Allen Funeral Home of Wylie. "It was kind of hard to make the transition (to football), because all summer I did baseball work outs," Perkins said. "I was a little behind in the strength for football. I adapt- ed quickly."
