A certain party who is residing in Zeelian thought fit to publicly utter a gross and wilfnl dander regarding another resi dent. The Blundered oae, with a de sire to vindicate bis character, con sulted his solicitor, with the object of taking immediate action for criminal slander, and was informed this would necessitate going to Hohart. Tbe slandered one anggssud civil action with exemplary damages claimed, and vros again confronted with tlie information that i'-J0 vnu the total amount he could me for locally.
