WINDSOR FIRE BRIGADE. Captainn Merrettsent a report, as up to tilhe lst December, to the Prnhran councll, which was rod. and recevcd at the lost mecting of that bowly. It stoted that the brigadc ins firly well cquippcdl, the plant heing as follows :-One hose reel, 1500 feet of canvas hose, 40 feet of small sorticohoseo iO feet of Inddersl , hydmnts, etc. The strength of the brigade was eleven work ing members lnclusiv of omicers, all of whom were properly equippel, helmets having been purchosedl. Larger sntition ccommoalation was now required, in view of adding to the presenCt plant. A great want was fclthy the brigade in not having lproper communication bctwccn the central and otlhcr ire stations in the district, thus causog unnecessary delay and( expense. The absence of indicators of fire plngs was also pointed out, many of the pluge being covered over with metal, so that they are hard to lind ; andit was allegdl that on several occasions the brigade have had to use a pick to unco...
