Sir,-I beg to point out au error you luve made in your pa j ter of Saturday, in slating the reply given by Mr. Bligh to the requiiiition sent him in the affair of Mr. Roberts. Mr. Bligh 's words were, "that he hail i nci'-hcr men nor horses to send from ' here, but that he would give Mr. Somer- ville a letter to the officer at Waverley, desiring him to render every assistance.' When told that the officer at Waverley refused to provide Mr. Somerville with A horse, Mr. Bligh said that he did quite riyht, as he had no power, under any circumstances whatever, to give the use' of a police horse to any one.
