An account received from Dublin yesterday,' on which we can place implicit reliance, :states, th:at -the sensation excited by. the recal of the Marquess of Anglesey. ispore universal:and in tense than has ever hitherto been.known. It is intended to give manifestations of this feeling when the day of his departure shall have arrived, in a manner so marked, as to efface the remem. brance of even the King's embarkation at Dun leary. ,t is, a remarkable fact, that the men .mqst opposed to the opinions the Marquess was known to entertain, take every opportunity of bearing testimony to the amiable and honourable feelings which distinguished him as an individual, and that in his case political hostility was entirely d...

DOMESTIC INTELLIGENCE. [Newspaper Article] — The Sydney Monitor — 20 June 1829

DOMESTIC INTELLIGENCE. As Mr. Shaughnessy, the undertaker, was passing down King-street on Thursday last,   he was unceremoniously saluted by a mare, which, was very improperly left tied to a cart in the street, with a violent kick, which pre- cipitated him across the street considerably further than the length of the longest of his own coffins. " What an..evil minded beast," exclaimed the prostrate son of Erin "to pay so little respect to the usual finisher of this worldly career !" Mr. S. was not much hurt, and would in all probability have taken ,little notice of the affair, but for the interfe- rence of the constabulary, who forthwith re- quested his attendance at the Police Office, to prosecute the owner for the neglect evin- ced upon the occasion. The Bench levied a fine of ten dollars upon the master of this "evil-minded beast," which being paid, they   were both discharged. The imarket was very badly-attended this week; owing we suppose to the settl...
