COMMERCIAL. ITestera Star Office, Friday Evening. ' Business, daring the past week, owing to the wet weather we hare recently had, has been extremely doll, and shows no signs -of improvement. ■ Owing to the high, price of carriage from DaLby (20s. per hundred having been paid, and the scarcity of carriage even atthat price), floor is bow qnoted at £3S per ton, sugar £55, and tea £10 per chest. Tobacco is also very scarce, one firm in town having got some up by coach. The D&lby stores and the Railway Station are. crammed with goods for the West, and there is no appearance at present of their being relieved. Some teams that started two months ago with goods for & store in this town, are now only twenty miles from Dalby. Several lines In spirits and oilmen's stores are quite oat of stock; and without the weather per manently clears up, all heavy goods will be very dear this winter.
