RABBIT HORDES ALONG BORDERS OF LEICHHARDT BOARD'S BOUNDARIES ^LL the way along the sonthern fence and (or 250 miles along the western fence of the Leichhardt Rabbit Board's district there was evidence every few yards of rabbits trying to scratch their way through to protected cotmtry, the Board's superintendent (Mr. Rathbone) says in bis monthly report. Air. Rathbone said that there was a heavy increase in infesta tion in the country immediately adjacent to the board's district. , He urged "constant vigilance" to cope with the position, and re commended the employment of an additional trapper within the Board's 'district to catch the comparatively small number with in its area. Two learners could possibly work in this camp under a seasoned trapper if it was estab lished, he said.
