Mr. Mills moved it for the reason I that I was "going out of the stock line ' altogether." That is not so. CHURCH KEWS. | The annual meeting of the Mount Barker Band of Hope was held in the Lectur^ Hail on Thursday, April 7. There was a good attendance, about 170 persons being present. The president (Rev. Arnold) presided. The program was arranged., by Mrs. I Crouch, and contributors were:— ' Pianoforte solos, Jean Whitford, Holly Downing, "Mary Beard; songs, Dulcie Crouch and Mr. J.. Jarman; violin - solo, Dorrie Hiltx A dialogue was given by Muriel Pope, Dorrie Hill, : Joyce Raymond, Ray Wadrop, Ken I Payne, Allan Matthews, Jeff Pope, Bertie Pope, Lyle Thompson and Jack "Cole, after which the election of of ficers'took place.
