EDITORIALS Georgian Style Run Amok The announcement by the President Wednesday night to a group of students that the College has taken a further step in designing a long-range program of campus development is welcome news . The College has for some time needed a comprehensive idea of what changes would be occurring on campus in the foreseeable future . Such a comprehensive plan is an innovation at F and M , although it has been used before at many larger schools and at some other small ones . The plan contains some unfortunate surprises , such as the coming end of Meyran Hall s use as a dormitory However , a little thought as to the campuss needs reveals that the change is inevitable The faculty is presently far too cramped for office and seminar space Several departments are assigning three men to offices that in other schools would be used by one professor .
