Ttoceipts of Live Stock at the Union Stock Yards during the past 24 hours 495 Cattle, 1,588 Hogs, 55 horses and mules. Shipments 64 Cattle, 141 Hogs, 55 horses and mules. The cattle receipts were fair today. There was not so much demand for cattle today as there has been for the past week. The offerings were fairly good and were closed out at fair prices. Good butcher stuff selling readily at fair prices. The market was steady aud unchanged. There were a good many Texas cattle on the market but none were weighed, before closing. The hog receipts were good, reaching nlmobt 1.600. The quality of the hogs was better than last week. The packers were the strongest buyers. Armour bought the bulk of the hogs today at 3. 80 to 13.85. The highest price today, S3.87K. was paid by Dold. Shippers took very few hogs to day as the packers kept the price up out of their reach.
