A few minutes after 5 o'clock this afternoon John Considine shot and killed ex-Chief of Police Mere dith, in Guy's drug store, after Mere dith had fired two shots at him with ont striking him. Meredith died a few minutes after being hit. Four bullets struck him. After one of the fiercest mm fights ever vn in the history of Seattle, W. L. Meredith a-vhiet of police, was frhot four times and killed at *:.*<> this afternoon b\ John Omsidinc.
