IDOL EM I WEEK TOOETHER WITH A PERSONAL MENTION OF THOSE IN THE HOVINO PANORAHA OF LOCAL HISTORY Richaid Karrach, a farmer who owns a large ranch in this county, is being sued by Delia l'ichter, a woman of the under world in Spokane for (80 per month for six months' services as land lady conducting a lodging house on the fourth floor of the Marion block. She also asserts in her complaint that he has stolen a valuable broach from her. Karrach put up the money for the fur niture and fixtures and the woman has been conducting the place. P. B. Stoddard, of Davenport, district agent for the Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Co., of Milwaukee, was in the city the first of the week. He states that he is enjoying a very lucrative patronage and that his policy holders are among the best people of Eastern Washington. LOCAL [ITS OF THE WEEK TOGETHER WITH A PERSONAL MENTION OF THOSE IN THE nOVING PANORAfIA OP LOCAL HISTORY The Special meetings which have been in progress in the Methodist Church for the past two and a half weeks have been a grea! success not only in the number ot attendance, but also in the number of converts won. Thirty five new converts have been made and twenty have united with the church as a result of the first two weeks meetings. It is expected that several new members wili be received 011 Sunday as the meetings will close with this week. Prof. C. A. Heath has greatly contributed to the success of the meetings by his splendid singing. On Bunday morning the pastor will preach a sermon for the new converts, the ordin once of baptism will be administered and new members received. Everybody cordially invited.
