Goodcell of the speakers’ bureau of the Automobile Club of Southern California. Holy Name Men To Receive Communion Sun. As part of their membership drive, the Holy Name Society of St. Ignatius Catholic Church, will receive Holy Communion in a body Sunday at the 7 o’clock Mass, it was announced by Father Edward Roth, sponsor and chaplain. After Communion, the men will adjourn to the parish hall for breakfast and meeting and will hear Samuel Whittaker, secretary general of the Holy Name Society, speak. Frank Meyers will act as toastmaster and master of ceremonies during the breakfast and meeting.

Kiwanians Induct Officers for Coming Term Glen C. Crandall this week took over the gavel as president of the Highland Park Kiwanis Club for 1942, s ucc e e d ing Fenton Sink. A colorful installation ceremony was held Tuesday evening at the Alhambra M a - sonic Te m pie with Immediate Past Governor William C. Schaper, as installation officer and Geo. McClay as master of ceremonies. Besides Crandall other office r s installed for 1942 were John C. Holland, first vice president, Kenneth Belknap, second vice p resident. Stanley Jacobson, Har o Id Mcßride, Chas. Lindbergh and George Staff were inducted as new directors. A past preside nt button and scroll was presented Fenton Sink by Herb Cox. Outgoing vice presidents are Hal Mcßride and Glen Crandall. The attendance of virtually all local members and their wives made the affair one of the outstanding events of the year for the Kiwanians.
