OBITUARY. MRS. MARGARET GRANT. Many friends will be sorry to hear of the death of Mrs, Margaret Grant, a well- known former resident of St. Arnaud. Deceased, who was 74 years of age, had been living with one of her daughters at Carlton for the past nine years, She was born in Dublin in 1840, and came to this country when a girl 14 years of age. She was twice married, her first husband, Mr. John M 'Crae, having died about 44 years ago. She subsequently married Mr Alexander Grant, who pre-deceased her some years. There were four chil- dren by the first husband, and six by the second. Deceased had been ailing for about two years, and her demise was not unexpected. The surviving members of the family are-Mrs, J, Barklem, St. Arnaud; Mrs. C. Perry, Carlton; Mr. R. M'Crae, St, Arnaud; Mrs. Holzigel, Coogee; Mrs. Stielow, Bendigo;   Mrs. Bartlett, Carlton; Mrs., O'Neill, Carlton; and Miss Ellie Grant, Carlton.
