A certain amount of selfish interests has from time to time been given paramount consideration in the arguments ad-: vanced'for or against the types dis cussed, so that those whose only def. sire was to employ the case ' which' was best suited for the safe carriage of their fruit found' it impossible: to arrive at a satisfactory conclusion. There seems- to be little doubt ,but that the advocacy of the Canadian j pine,. case .a fe-y, years, t ago was ? re | ceivirig support . from those who i were going to profit by the importa tion of the huge quantities of ;ma: terial ; -- that 'would ? be' required ' ' ;to tr...

Geeves' store three persons have been occupied at one time; in sweeping the grubs away from the walls and entrance. Fine dry weather at such a cost is not appreciated, and heavy rain is badly needed to de feat the invasion. ? CHRISTMAS PARTY.
